Useful information about paying for and attending classes at Room For Movement.

Cancellations

  • We take no responsibility for missed communications due to not being subscribed to your ‘Account Management’ and ‘Schedule Updates’ on the booking site. You are responsible for your own cancellations and ensuring they are on time.

  • Personalised Session Cancellations made by you will be accepted only as follows;

    • ‘Early Appointment Cancellation’ - cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice - no charge.

    • ‘Late Appointment Cancellation’- cancelled with less than 24 hours notice- charged at full rate from your package, where no package is available it is charged as a casual booking or deducted from the next package.

    • ‘Makeup Sessions’ - in the case of a Late Cancellation- if you find another appointment of the same kind on the schedule within the 6 days following your late cancelled appointment- we will transfer the appointment credit to the new appointment time for the additional cost of $10. You are responsible for finding a time on the schedule to attend a makeup and booking it via email.

    • ‘Makeup Sessions’ are subject to availability and are not guaranteed; They cannot be cancelled or changed regardless of the notice period.

    • We reserve the right to condense Personalised Sessions as required, and your appointment time may change from time to time.

  • Group Class Cancellations made by you will be accepted only as follows;

    • ‘Early Cancellation’ - cancelled with more than 12 hours notice - no charge.

    • 'Late Cancellation’- cancelled with less than 12 hours notice- charged at full rate from your package, where no package is available it is charged as a casual booking or deducted from the next package.

    • There are no 'Makeups' for Group Class bookings

    • Group class cancellations and changes must be made online- we do not accept cancellations via email or phone.

    • We reserve the right to cancel Group Classes with 2 or less people booked.

  • Course Class Cancellations made by you will be accepted only as follows;

    • ‘Early Cancellation’ - cancelled with more than 12 hours notice - up to two early cancelled classes can be redeemed on group classes/other course classes deemed suitable by Room For Movement (see course details for course specifics.)

    • ‘Late Cancellation’- cancelled with less than 12 hours notice- the credit associated with the cancelled class is lost

    • Course Class cancellations must be made online- we do not accept cancellations via email or phone.

Bookings

  • Personalised Sessions are booked on a recurring basis.

    • Once you have an assigned appointment time, your attendance is assumed every week at that time.

    • Once you have an assigned weekly appointment you can make changes to your bookings and attend additional appointments as required.

    • If you are away, we cannot hold your assigned appointment for more than 4 weeks.

  • Group Class Bookings can be made on a recurring basis or be attended casually.

  • Course Bookings are made all at once, and a commitment to the entire duration of the course is expected

  • You are responsible for the management of your bookings - these are best managed via our website.

  • Teachers/Instructors may change at late notice due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you via email of these changes ahead of the booking time.

  • It is highly recommended you stay subscribed to your ‘Account Management’ and ‘Schedule Updates’ to ensure you receive all communications about your bookings and appointments.

Purchase Policy

  • All group classes and personalised sessions should be paid prior to attendance.

  • Any unpaid classes or appointments will be converted to a negative account balance.

  • Classes and Appointments can be purchased in denominations of 1,5,10 or 20.

  • Refunds are not available.

  • Package credits for small group classes or personalised appointments cannot be swapped from one service to another.

  • In the event of a change in health conditions that prevent attendance on a Course, pending availability we will convert the remainder of the course into account credit for use on any course of the same value.

  • Credits may be transferred to a family member or friend on request via email

  • Each package has a specified usage period after which services on that package expire and are no longer valid

    • See our website for specific details for each package.

    • Packages cannot be paused or extended for any reason.

    • It is your responsibility to choose a package you can utilise before expiry.

    • It is your responsibility to keep track of the expiry date.

  • Payments are taken via the third party Ezidebit, and transactions will often appear on your statement with a different description to that which you expect.

Studio Etiquette

  • Be mindful of sessions in progress and keep noise to a minimum.

  • Mobile phones should be on silent and we would prefer if you could avoid wearing devices with messaging capability to get the most out of your session

  • Wear fresh socks & clean workout clothing to your session. If you tend to sweat a bit during your workout then bring a towel along to your class. For our male clients: if you wish to wear looser fitting shorts please pair them with compression shorts/tights.

  • Please avoid wearing strong scented perfumes or cologne and tie long hair back

Risk Warning

  • Physical exercise, in all of its forms, with or without the use of equipment such as foam rollers, reformers, balls or any other equipment that may be suggested by a Room for Movement teacher, is strenuous physical activity. Accordingly, you are advised to seek the advice of a medical professional before beginning any physical exercise class, session, appointment, course or workshop.

  • Any instructions given by a Room for Movement teacher are not required to be performed by you and should be carried out only at your election. Suggested modifications given by your instructor are designed to reduce the risk of harm or injury and it is your responsibility to determine whether such suggestions are appropriate for you and your experience in the class/session.

  • Room for Movement is not a medical organisation and its instructors or staff cannot give you medical advice or diagnosis. Nothing on our website, in our classes, or in our communications with you should be construed as any form of medical advice or diagnosis.

Liability Waiver

  • Room for Movement takes no responsibility for your personal safety or well-being when participating in Pilates classes and/or sessions delivered by Room for Movement. By attending classes and/or sessions delivered by Room for Movement you agree that you understand that Pilates involves strenuous physical movement, and that any such activity carries the risk of danger, bodily harm, injury, emotional stress, or death as a result of your participation. Some of these risks and dangers may not be obvious or reasonably foreseeable at this time.

  • You understand that it is your responsibility to determine your physical and mental capabilities for such physical activities and will seek out medical advice prior to attending classes and /or sessions. You agree that you do not have any medical ailments, physical limitations, or mental disabilities that will affect your ability to participate in Pilates classes/and or sessions, and you assume the risks, including, but not limited to, those outlined in this Risk Warning and Liability Waiver.

  • You confirm that your bookings and attendance at Room for Movement classes and/or sessions are voluntary. You understand that instructions given within a class and/or session are to be carried out at your own election. You understand that suggested modifications given by a Room for Movement instructor are designed to reduce the risk of harm or injury and it is your responsibility to determine whether such modifications are required for your body.

  • You understand that any changes to your health and well-being could affect the exercise choices made by your instructor and may determine whether you are attending a class appropriate for your physical and mental capabilities. On that basis you understand it is your responsibility to communicate any information about changes to your health and well-being to your instructor before attending a class /and or session delivered by Room for Movement.

  • Room for Movement undertakes no responsibility for and makes no guarantees of the quality or safety of Pilates equipment or props used, whether purchased directly from Room for Movement or another source. You understand the Pilates equipment and props can be dangerous when used improperly and care should be taken to follow instructions explicitly to avoid the risks associated with strenuous physical movement, including, but not limited to, those outlined in this agreement.

  • Room for Movement accepts no responsibility for the safety, care or wellbeing of your child when you are participating in ‘Mums and Bubs’ or ‘Bring Your Baby’ classes and/or sessions and you are responsible for their safety and supervision while on our premises.

  • You understand that it is your responsibility to ensure a safe environment for moving in while participating in an online class with Room For Movement. This includes but is not limited to: ensuring good ventilation, reducing foot traffic, removing slip or trip hazards, ensuring proper care and set up of your Pilates props and equipment.

  • Room for Movement undertakes no responsibility for any injury, loss, damage to any persons or property sustained or arising from any classes and/or sessions delivered by Room For Movement.

    Acceptance

  • By booking and attending class you agree that you have read and understood this agreement, Risk Warning and Liability Waiver and you expressly waive and release any claim that you may have at any time for injury of any kind against Room for Movement, including and without limitation to its’ directors, management, employees or contractors.

Privacy

  • At times, we collect information in the normal course of providing services to our clients. The information we may collect includes: your name and contact details, such as your physical address, email address and phone number; your gender, birthdate and occupation; your purchase history; medical information including information about pre-existing injuries, payment information and any other information you may provide to us from time to time

  • We use this information to provide the services to you

  • We will not sell or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes

  • From time to time we may use your personal information to provide you with information about our services or promotional partners. We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. If you prefer not to receive promotional information from us, please let us know by emailing our Privacy Manager at info@roomformovement.com.au

  • You may review or change personal information related to your use of our services. To access your information, to know what information we hold about you or to make a complaint regarding our handling of your personal information please contact our Privacy Manager at info@roomformovement.com.au

  • We will try to ensure that all information we collect, use or disclose about you in accordance with this privacy policy is accurate, complete and up-to-date. We expect that you will promptly notify us of any changes to your personal information
