Prenatal Bump to Birth classes

Small group reformer classes for women at any stage of pregnancy who want to maintain fitness, promote mobility and strength, and feel supported and guided through their pregnancy exercise. In particular these classes focus on preparing the body for birth AND for the postpartum recovery.

While not essential we highly recommend booking an Initial Consultation prior to starting our prenatal classes.

 

In these classes you will…

  • Tap into your mind body connection

  • Strengthen your upper back, shoulders and arms in preparation for breastfeeding, lifting and rocking

  • Encourage mobility in the tissues of hips and pelvis in preparation for birth

  • Prepare you physically for an active birth and all the squats, lunges, leaning and lifting associated with parenthood

  • Feel educated on the role of the pelvic floor and the abdominal wall in pregnancy, birth and postpartum recovery

  • Be provided with tools and know how for moving your body in early postpartum

  • Connect with other women at the same stage of pregnancy

 

Important information about exercising with us prenatally…

All participants should seek guidance from their healthcare provider prior to joining any form of exercise during pregnancy. These classes are not suitable for anyone with cervical cerclage, multiple pregnancies, heart/lung conditions, or placenta previa- if you are managing any of these conditions and have clearance to exercise, reach out here to discuss whether our personalised sessions may be a suitable alternative.
