Post Natal Return to Exercise classes

There's no talk of 'bouncing back' or a 'pre-baby body' guarantee. These group reformer classes offer a gradual and respectful return to exercise for new mums who are adapting to the *endless* physical demands of motherhood. AND you can bring you little one with you!

While not essential we highly recommend booking an Initial Consultation prior to getting your bod moving post partum.

 

In these classes we’ll…
Help you safely return to pre-pregnancy exercise when you’re not sure where to start
Teach you breathing and Myofascial release techniques
Gradually restore integrity to your pelvic floor & abdominal tissue
Restore alignment/strength in the pelvis & hips
Assist in the recovery of abdominal separation & pelvic prolapse
Counteract the effects of feeding and lifting on sore shoulders & neck
Provide you with personalised modifications for limitations or injuries

Things to know before booking…

For safety reasons little ones are welcome only while still immobile - no crawling/toddling
We suggest waiting 6 weeks post vaginal/10 weeks post caesarean delivery before commencing classes with us and will assume you have clearance for exercise from your health professional
Access is via a stairwell and prams are not practical. Bring along a carrier/car seat or chat to us to arrange to drop your pram at the main studio a few doors up

Our ALIGN classes can be easily modified for post partum bods if you’re happy to come without bub.
